It is a pleasure to announce a new editorial by Peace Ossom (now at MIT), Justin de la Cruz and Genevieve Milliken of NYU Langone Health. The editorial, titled “Isn’t This Fun? Structured Learning for Data Science and Data Management Services” describes the development of two online free courses that teach basic data services skills for the health science context. The courses, “Fundamentals of Health Sciences Research Data Management” and “Fundamentals of Health Data Sicence”, offered annually, had been offered twice and once respectively at the time of writing. The editorial reports the outcomes of the courses, and their positive reception.
